Imprisoned

Imprisoned

You try to move but you get dragged down,
You claim that you’re free,
But you have a frown, with no crown,
You always hope that you can flee.

All that you see around you is bars,
But you don’t try to see the stars,
You only dream of cars,
You don’t say it’s ours,
They first thought that they can’t reach mars,
You don’t want to spend hours?
So what if you end up with scars?
Everyone knows that you don’t have powers,
Your dream has to fill jars,
You think that you can’t climb towers?
You have to win those spars.

Change your view of the mirror,
So what if you’re locked up,
Your vision has to get clearer,
You have to work until you drop,
You try so hard that you get nearer,
You can never stop,
If you do your dream may disappear.
