In Darkness

i will forever love the lights in darkness
crisp morning air mixes with smoke
flushed, hot skin cools dramatically
the middle of the night i leave him sleeping
cool night air slaps me when i open the glass
light my cigarette as i watch the calm water
no wind to kiss my bare skin tonight
street lamps reflects like starlight in water
everything so calm in thins calming darkness
icy air devours me in this sparkling calmness
bats singing to each other along the water
i listen for a second too long for pleasure 
nights heavenly pleasures are now my own
do not fear darkness you silly little fool 
closing the glass behind me soundlessly 
i already miss the magic
