Poem -
IN HONOUR OF THE ONE HUNDRED YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE BATTLE OF THE SOMME
We will remember you all by candlelight
We will see your shadows on the moon.
We will remember you all when an angelic voice sings a lovely haunting tune.
We will remember you all in sunshine
And we will feel all your tears within the rain.
We will recall all those precious moments that we will never have again.
We will look for you all in memories
As the years they come and go
We will see all your faces in waters cool
We will look for your footprints in the snow.
An angels smile
A nightingales song
Golden sunsets and the restless sea
In all that we do and love dearest soldiers
We will all remember thee.

should always remember them so many losing their

We had our Antietam, you had your Battle of Sommes. Ours lasted just one sad day, yours went on for five long months. One hundred and twenty seven thousand dear souls were lost forever there. So wonderful of you to honor them, those lives lost in the Worlds' Warfare! God Bless You!

Thank you Larry for that lovely message. Those lives that were lost gave us all the freedom we enjoy today and those brave men should never be forgotten. We have the responsibility to make sure our children realize that and never forget it. This world needs love and peace and we all have the responsibility to spread that love to further protect the future generations. It`s time that others realized that! We all need to cherish life, not destroy it.
