Why is it that I can’t sleep at night?
I need your holy hand to dim the light
 
I’m so tired of living in all of the rain
Lord can you wash away all of the pain
 
Nightly I light a million candles in your name
Yet in my heart I still feel the same
 
Hold me tightly in your eternal halo glow
I have so much love that I need to show
 
You walked on water and you rose above
Share with me some of your angelic love
 
Come and spread those glorious wings
Show me the beauty in all living things
 
Sadly missed from the day you went away
Say you’ll come back into our hearts to stay
 
Lord will you join me in a heavenly prayer
look for you in my heart and feel you there
 
See you standing there so gracious and free
Lord can you bring the good days back to me
 
I offer a red rose for your glorious heart
Please answer my prayers and never part
 
God please grant me the sacred right
To claim victory in your guiding light
 
Your love is worth more than treasured gold
Your presence is a true glory to the soul
 
May glory be placed to God on high?
Save me a place up there in the sky
