IN THE ARMS OF YESTERDAY
A SECOND CHANCE
As the day closed it's weary eyesÂ
It took my energy alongÂ
But i found peace and comfortÂ
In the arms of the nightÂ
As the clusters performedÂ
Their twinkling songsÂ
I heard a voice calling out to meÂ
I responded with a series of yawnsÂ
Reluctantly I lay down my weary head
As my mind travelled to worlds beyondÂ
To my surprise in my minds eyesÂ
I found a wonderful place to stay
It was the happy thoughtsÂ
And love I had experiencedÂ
In the shadow of yesterdayÂ
I relived our kisses, hugs and smilesÂ
And all the tenderness
That swallowed my hearts pain
Our future seems glorious and bright my love
In the eyes of yesterdayÂ
It was time to returnÂ
My body was refreshedÂ
But in my dreams I longed to stayÂ
Now pieces of my heart is left behindÂ
In the arms of yesterday.

This Is ABSOLUTELY perfect metering, and timing that is already ready to be plugged into a piece of music..... It would make a BEAUTIFUL song as it already makes for a gorgeous piece of poetic verse!!...... This is STUNNING work dear poet brother!!......
