In The Freeze

In The Freeze

There are tears
Inside a snowball
I put down the phone
You end the call

Just as ice freezes
Down my cheeks

Why did the sun
Have to leave?
Why did the moon
Take away the heat?
Why did you leave me
In the freeze?

It's too cold
For this heart to unfold
And tell you how I feel,
I guess you were never real

Why was the moon
Let up to rain?
Why are my tears now
A frozen stain?

It's so cold out here
But it's not like
You care

You don't even see
These blue cheeks
As you leave me
In the freeze
