In the lap of the Gods đź’™

O’er a shadowy silhouetted moorish mountain side

I feast my fascination far and wide

My heart is hammering from the sheer view where I stand

I am in the lap of the Gods from Mother Nature’s command

High up amidst the canvas in the starry skies

 As scattered symmetrical snowflakes caress my eyes

Is there no end to our clever creator’s delight?

I gasp awe-inspired at such a spectacular sight

I am but a particle of morning dew dust

Whilst I have to put my faith in her element’s trust

She blows her boisterious bellows to let me know

I am in her mighty hands from the fall below

I holdon with all my mighty force

Allowing yon Northerly winds which steer her course

Anchored down beneath stealthy trees

They help to shield me from her wild displease

Yes I froze she almost chilled my very bones

From her howling winds with her moans and groans

Yet what I would not do to see this all again

When yon wonderful waterfall raged down thru that glen...
