In The Mountains Lost

My Love Is Higher

In The Mountains Lost

From the decadence of my past
I run, I scream and I fight
And believing that I can last

Through gloom days, I wanted night

I wanted stars...

Needed them for more than light

Strong desire razes me

Attacks my heart

Grinding memories blind my eyes
As I picture her

I've gone and stolen nights that were meant to be
And turned the moon to black with ways that were not me

She fell with her eyes

I saw the fire within her

Start to rise...

I fell, I fell and I tried
To say sorry, a word that is alien or mountainous

Carpathian or Sanskrit to a brute like me

Dishonorable is my degree

My highest peak...
is where you'll see my lowly soul

I will hide in Moldoveanu, Peleaga

of Romania and still

be discovered
So cursed

I may be blessed after all

Her love makes me fall

All the way down to somewhere...
in a place she awaits the rise
Grinding memories blind my eyes

And I picture her

We are both lost to the skies

The stars I've seen, I give to her

with the moon now shining bright
Brighter than Venus is our light

We count all the stars...
And for every one I will tell you
That I love you and will never go
And blindly hide in the mountains...
that I pictured
My love is higher than them all
