In the rain

Ive held on to this ring for so long.
Ive had it by my heart, but the time was always wrong.
Now by the ocean, on this rainy night,
I finally feel like the moment is right.
We share a giddy laugh and I pour out my heart,
for a moment I forget what has scared me from the start.
This destructive fear that has held on to me
Is dissolved and i feel like im finally free.
