to draw a breath

to get undressed

a clock to stop

to pick a lock

to kiss her breasts
in the time it takes
to lift her dress
In the time it takes
to form a smile
in the time it takes
to wait a while
In the time it takes
to make a wish
in the time it takes
to blow a kiss

to wonder why
is the time it takes
to say goodbye

Your poem leaves the reader with an ache in their heart. Time can be so cruel canât it. One moment they are breathing life and the nextâŚgone. I felt the emphasis of that here. You have written a powerful piece my friend. Once again you Nev, are wielding such wonderful words :) Â
