Poem -

In your darkest night I was there

I was there for you
in your darkest night
helping you get through
hoping you persevere to see the light

when people disparaged you
the whole world too
then speedily rose your fears
I was there

when you shed tears
from the ones you hold dear
though, your sobs they didn’t hear
I was there

you wanted to succumb to that night
pondering if it was right
your darkest night was cruel
but I was there for you
