Incoming bug

it's a long time since I had Flu,
I'd say 1992, and it was bad,
I stayed in bed for three days
just oozing fluid,
this time, I've forced myself
to work, which is what I do,
work is my time keeping on life,
I don't believe in immunization
not for Flu, I had to have it
for Hepatitus B to work in
the places I do, but for Flu, no
Now I think I've lost two stones
and all the aches in my bones,
have gone..
The Doctor said, a year ago..
I had acid reflux, and I said not,
nothing gets up out of my gut,
it's a one way ticket...
I said I had an infection in my throat
but he didn't listen to me
who lives in this body 24/7/365
a layman ,,a medical thickie
I haven't been to doctors school,
I know nothing being a fool..that I am
but hey ho..the Flu has killed the bug
the Flu has succeeded where
the Doctor did not..
So what does that tell you
about messing about with Nature
and sticking needless needles in your arm
for a simple infection..
it's kept me awake for weeks
made me so miserable like a freak
not knowing what to do..
acid reflux my arse..
pray to God I never got owt worse..
the next time Flu does it's rounds
while I am fit, I can take a hit !
