Ingratiate

Ingratiate

I think
we look
at other
peoples' work
only to
ingratiate them
to a point
that they take
the time
to look
at ours

I do know
Whitman, Plath
and Sexton
are among the
many who
changed my perspective

Today
I am  hoping
to change
a few too

Being Me

Dorothy Parker is brilliant too! I adore her work!  Personally, I write ( when I write) because I have a "need" to. It is good to see what other writers are doing and if my comments encourage them to write more then great!
