Ingratiate

Ingratiate

I think
we lookĀ
at other
peoples' work
only to
ingratiate them
to a point
that they takeĀ
the timeĀ
to lookĀ
at ours

I do know
Whitman, Plath
and Sexton
are among theĀ
many who
changed my perspective

Today
I amĀ  hoping
toĀ change
a few too

I think we all write for immortality.
Nice work Greg.

Being Me

Dorothy Parker is brilliant too! I adore her work!Ā  Personally, I write ( when I write) because I have a "need" to. It is good to see what other writers are doing and if my comments encourage them to write more then great!
