Initial Engagement

Initial Engagement

Blood stains the tarnished earth and mans dignity.

Cries of pain from the suffering not diminished by pity.

Extent of slaughter emerges with casualties revealed.

The fate of humanity and higher principles are sealed.

All that has been lost this day will never be replenished,

As realization of what is to come amplifies what is missed.

At embryonic stage all know what the cost of this war will be.

None are willing or able to halt a slide into complete misery.

This confrontation will be forgotten amongst the many to come,

With further sacrifice being inevitable at the altar of the gun.

Any price would now eagerly be paid to turn back the clock,

Charity and consideration in the forseeable future, out of stock

Hi Richard, another wonderful one from you. Enjoyed reading. Though it made me sad. Nobody wants war and would always wish to turn back the hands of time which is usually too late. After lives have been lost with so many shattered dreams. Wars leave devastation, pains and regrets in their wake.

You got my vote on this

Lots of love.....Rose

Hello Richard...

As long as there are things allowed to continue...

War lovers are in the waiting pool...

Waiting patiently for their turn...

Some people can't live without fighting...

They are monsters...

I wish more people would want to have or themselves be a great hero like a...

Titan...

Unfortunately,  too many want to be...

Hitler or some other demented and twisted being...

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

Hugs...

One day someone will encourage all to stand against evil and show it for what it is. Evil is cowardly and weak when confronted by the majority who despise its existence.

Thank you for being there. HUG !

Warmest wishes.  :)

Hi Richard

this was a compelling read. i wish war didn't exist, but the way the worlds going world war 3 is on the cards. too many super powers, too many nuclear weapons being built it's inevitable unfortunately. I just hope i'm not around to see it.

cheers jeff
