Poem -

Innocently I asked

Innocently I asked

Innocently
I asked.

A door opens,
recklessly revealing
old life.

It hurts
to have no words
allowed to wander,
wonder,
ponder

for fear is stalking me.

Yet,
the silence is killing me,
is killing us.

Yes,
it helps to let these words roam free.

Another door opens,
admission is the key.

It helps to speak, to give
life
to words that have lain dormant
for all my life:

I am – no, we are –
worth the space
connection needs.

Recklessness need not be feared
anymore,
it has become a way in
and thus a way out
into our new rooms.

I duly sign the deeds
to our house, our marriage
of speech and heart.

Hi John, this is a well written poem, the past can feel a daunting place to be. Some doors I like to stay closed. I enjoyed the structure you used here, it gave the piece a good flow

yes, I quite agree, doors should remain closed, but the tarot card spread did not lie, but it was helpfull and we've made a step forward...

Aye, they are my third leg in life - together with astrology and explained by the wife, she is so good at it. I use the Sassoraibuto most often, but there are more decks in use🤔🤣
