Inside

See it in her eyes
the calm before the storm
behind the sparkling blue
clouds are building up
threatening to spill
passed the fence of lashes
to be the emotional creation
that mind and body can create
just for a little while
the stream will flow
until all that is left behind
are the dry stains
that once revealed
all the pain
endured and inflicted
from the inside out
awaiting the next time
when all turns dark
and once again
the release of tears
will seep through the fire
that surrounds her
soon to be washed away
to be free of everything
that burns her.
