Poem -

Inside my mind

As the darkness sores upon my cold beating heart,
And the sudden feel of fear tears me apart,
The thunderous roar that persistently crys out,
No one knows of my constant blackout,
The lightning that strikes my mind blinds my sight,
Seeing nothing but this endless twilight,
Wishing I didn't have to tolerate this emptiness anymore,
No energy to fight my self doubting war,
Defeated by demons that haunt my mind,
This torture to which I am confined.
They say it's an illness, but there is no cure,
My mind is a war zone but my heart remains pure.
