Inside out

From my Raven Collection (grief)

Inside out

In just one single moment
it was all taken away
everything I ever knew
everything I ever took for granted about life
It never crossed my mind
but looking back now
I realize, I was young and naive
nothing wrong with that
all I know now, is this...
when we are put in that deep dark place
we have to learn to fight the force
clinging to every single
possible exit
because even on our darkest days
the light can seep through the cracks
eventually, overcrowding
that, in which is dark
to be reborn, to be stronger on the inside
and that will simply make everything shine
Including who I am on the outside.

Amen to that dear poet sister!!....when we work
on who we truly are on the inside.....the outside
becomes more forgiving and grateful.....thus,
feelings such as grief and its ramifications become
much easier to resolve and understand....I love
your stuff SHIRLEY!!......ALL STARS!!.....well
penned my friend!!......LOVE & ROCKETS!!....T xo  : )

Life changing things happen in an instant. The rebuilding afterwards takes a great deal of time. A wonderful poem, Shirley x
