Inside out
From my Raven Collection (grief)
In just one single moment
it was all taken away
everything I ever knewĀ
everything I ever took for granted about lifeĀ
It never crossed my mindĀ
but looking back now
I realize, I was young and naiveĀ
nothing wrong with thatĀ
all I know now, is this...
when we are put in that deep dark placeĀ
we have toĀ learn to fight the forceĀ
clinging to every single
possible exitĀ
because even on our darkest days
the light can seep through the cracks
eventually, overcrowding
that, in which is dark
to be reborn, to be stronger on the insideĀ
and that will simply make everything shineĀ
Including who I am on the outside.

Amen to that dear poet sister!!....when we work
on who we truly are on the inside.....the outside
becomes more forgiving and grateful.....thus,
feelings such as grief and its ramifications become
much easier to resolve and understand....I love

The deep dark place is recognisable to a lot of people. I like how you bring it in and the coming through it. The line about light seeping through the cracks reminds me of Leonard Cohen.Ā
Thank you. š¹Ā
