Poem -

Insidiously Insane

He finally pulled me through the threshold
Defenseless against my own mind, I was forced to go into the other place
A certain tranquility was present
For I was without reality
Everything I knew had ceased to exist
This other place was my bottom in my addiction
Although craving death, this other place was similar
So I was satisfied
My body was still in the physical form yet, my mind had wandered off
Aimlessly trying to find its way back with no avail
I loved talking with the people there
They cared
Although no one else could see them they had been with me all along
Just waiting for me to reach the other side
Products of my mind and drugs
I don't visit that place anymore
But it will be waiting for me until the day I die
