In The International Airport

I watched her dance in the international airport.
Her guilty pleasure song was playing, it was a sonic gem
in this cavern,
like a vinyl record that had just been released and placed
on a quality turntable,
playing well above the cacophony of people and machines.
I watched her steal hearts and break them
like a child bored with dollar toys.
I sat down in the cafe and looked out the great window.
Familiar movie scenes flashed before me and I waited
for some strange thing to unfold,
so that I could feel something real.
I looked at her again and wandered into her dangerous
movie, playing what I detest, a character I killed
but is still alive, and my heart is at risk as I ask her to
dance with me in the international airport.

Great poem.
Thank you.
Very well played out, your character to hers, seduction by
the (seductress), said the spider to the fly, join me,
as he ventures in and is caught in her web of lies......Very
adventurous....And bold....Good job!!
Jim
Thank you, sir. We have to be on our guard, to watch out for the "black widow". I think you've just inspired me to write about this type of seductress.
ThANK YOU,SIR!
Mrmaninblack,
You are most welcome sir.....If everyone took the time to read the poems, that are
so elegantly and powerfully illustrated, by all of you that post this site, man
what a way to really surrender in comfort to a warm cup poetry
accompanied by a conscious state of complete humbleness and peace of mind,
at the end of your day, when all of a better day has eluded
us from the start of our awakened awareness.......You should thank
yourself sir, you placed the readers right in the middle of your theater, we
being your eager audience, drawn in, such as, you to your
character, in your captivated poem......
Cheers,
Jim
Read your other poems, you are inspired...Liz
