Invisible me

Sometimes people see me

Give me a nod or a wave

Other times they walk through me

As if I was a ghost from the grave

If they came a little closer

They’d witness nothing new

A man worn down inside

With no will to push through

Just another man who had lived

A man who had been ignored

Who had started off with dreams

Which could now never be restored

I am just another face

Invisible to the mind

Seen but not understood

To me they’re blind

Invisible me in the corner

The one who doesn’t speak

The voice that is never heard

The one whose mind is weak

Or is that my own weakness?

Is that my fatal flaw

Being the one who thinks before he speaks

But never leaves in awe

But what does it matter

This tale will not be told

A story of invisible me

The one who is never bold
