Invitation To Jesus

Invitation To Jesus

You said you
were taking
me
to meet
Jesus
in the Bayou
Not realizing
you were
walking
along side
the
Devil

Too Often
we convince
ourselves
that the Venom
we drink
is nothing
more than
refreshing
Sweet Tea

The consequences
though
is still
a burn
going
down
and
complete
Anarchy
to our
insides

Underestimating
your adversary
is
the spark
to destruction

Destroying
those
along your
path
that you
feel threaten
by
creates
in the
end
your own
demise

Yes I am
more intelligent
than you
I smelled
the ambush
before
you planned
it

I am not
a threat
as I run
my own
course

Having me
as a friendenemy
is much
better
than
attempting
a
foolish
coup

We can
exist together
I have
no
issue
with
that

However
if you
still
insist
on
having
me
meet
Jesus
You
will
find
like
Pharaoh
a
serpent
in
Your
hand............

I love the calm and quiet threatening quality to this piece Greg ...it applies easily to adversaries in life or to the battle between good and evil..or is it not all the same thing....?
