Iridescent Stones in Hellish Storms

Iridescent Stones in Hellish Storms

There are iridescent stones in hellish storms.
On warm summer nights, look past the moon and see Neptune.

In the storms on that sphere, it's raining diamonds.

In the vastness of space,

On planets not named after ancient gods

where nothing can thrive but hellish storms,

It's raining rubies and sapphires.

In my world, I steer my ship around and through such storms.

I follow my compass and get out alive.

There might not be a shower of diamonds and sapphires,

but in the fires of these hellish storms,

I found something with the worth of iridescent stones;

The precious light that dances around you like diamond dust and starlight.

Now this is a love poem! I love it, especially with Neptune's reputation in Astrology in mind...
