Valentineās Day
It was not a nameless day I met you,Ā
For it was Valentineās Day.
No bouquet of flowers to admire but the folds of your lips as I first saw you smile.
No money for chocolates but rich with your sweet hello.
No scent of roses but the indelible fragrance tied to the memory of you.
The scent of books,Ā
And enticing spice,
They are as much a part of you as your blue eyes and blonde tresses.
Ā
These are the things I can celebrate with the circling of a calendar date on the fourteenth of each and every February.
A year of turning pages,
And more and more the sky above becomes an afterglow of your blue eyes,
And I see the fairness of your hair in passing starlight.
There is no coldness in the dark since I was wrapped in the certainty of your embrace.
I know not what I did to impress you so,
But I know that you love me forevermore.

I could see this playing out as a small scene, or a short film..very discripted. I enjoyed reading this. š
Thank you!
You're so welcome!
