Poem -

iron chair

iron chair

The sunlight brave
Over an earth cold
All we now have
That which we were told
Earth I am folding
To the dark in the night
I am but holding now
These grateful petals to the light
Yet I am in this chair
Waiting for a death certain
Into your prism I stare
This time a final curtain
I see you in the shadows
In the sound of a gentle breeze
Holding bows and arrows
For a heart in dying seas
This time a final curtain
Into your prism stare
Waiting for a death certain
I am this iron chair
