Irrevocably Wounded

Sohphie's Daughter

Oh how I cherish the night
When most others are asleep
Invisisble from those in light
 So I can silently weep
 No need to justify  grief
It owes no explanation
When death comes in like a thief
 To wreak such devastation
With wrapped arms around the void
Once filled with breath, life and love
Anguished bursts you can't avoid
Hence realities hereof
