Is There Anyone Out There

Is There Anyone Out There

I watch you disappear behind a curtain, where are you going,
will you tell me when you get there, when your soul's laid bare,
not a wave, no goodbye, as though I know your destination,
just a voice - 'You take care of her, you hear me, I'll be back.'

Nothing beneath your feet, only yellow black is down there,
people used to be, but they are gone causing mayhem elsewhere;
I'll hitch a ride, until we've gone full circle - there's only us after all,
we must treasure, protect, everthing we've ever known always.

Eva Caassidy sings 'Somewhere over the rainbow,' a stone's throw
from the galaxies, nebulae, constellations and celebrations,
play it, take yourself away to travel and live another bright day,
where seasons need no reasons to visit you every yesterday.

We met again in the Venusian desert where anything was possible,
where love remebered that you were out there always and forever.
