The Word of Life jumped out of our skin
 
to speak again what's spoken within
 
to give us a chance to open our hearts
 
that we might hear the voice of God
 
Yet, even our pink ears remained deaf
 
and our ocean eyes blind
 
And so to get our utmost attention
 
he surrendered his flesh to death
 
and staged a resurrection
 
"Wake up!" he cried
"Arise with me,
I came to set the captives free!"
 
So lift your gaze from off the ground
 
Open your lashes and look around
 
There's work to do
The time is short
Join in the task
Do not abort
 
For God is love and invites you in
 
to his tried and true remedy for sin
 
Receive his ghost
 
Become a host
 
Let's help the earth be born again
