Poem -

Islands of Gold

I.

My body is an hourglass

Sand constitutes my island heart

The moisture on God's breath floods my soul

I'm drowning inside my Self

II.

My identity is built up by waves

waves of words

of emotions

of thoughts

And the same return to wash it away

III.

You planted acts of kindness

They burst and took root

If the Lord delights

clouds will kiss our leaves

and avian spirits will inn the rainbows of Paradise

IV.

I know you are the daughter of your parents

but as an heir of HaShem

in my eyes nothing less than a princess

So I shower you with petals and gold dust

as becomes your majesty
