Isolation is a posinegative emotion

Isolation is a posinegative emotion

She can never be sure how to feel.
Content with being alone and isolated,
a state where she feels truly at peace.
A place where she can imagine herself
with wings that shield her from the storm and rain.
But she also grows solemn
as the addiction to this fantasy sets in,
the loneliness growing
with every step she takes away from others.
After all, however much she may imagine,
however large her belief grows,
there are no wings to protect her.
The rain will still soak her
and all she has done
is turn her back on whatever beauty
lies within the storm.

That Child

This is so beautiful. Kind of a delicate read, if words had a feel, and here they do. Great job!
