Isolation is insufferable

There are so many people much worse off than me
I am amidst the countryside you see
with woods to wander and rambles to roam, vast open air surrounds my home
I switch on my tv and I watch the news
Oh my God I imagine being in these poor people’s shoes

High rise flats without any garden
I wouldn’t want to be living in them
I beg your pardon
How do they survive ? How on earth does one cope ?
I wish them salvation 
Oh please give them hope
Stuck in four walls high up a height
I feel their pain 
I imagine their plight

Isolation is insufferable 
but for some folks it is worse as I think about these poor souls penning my verse
How much longer can this go on ?
Oh how I look to the future when this infection has gone
We will be back to normality
feeling so much happier than before
Reminscing our nightmares from being shut behind one’s front door
