Poem -

IT COMES...

It comes so gently
As gentle as a small child's hand
That folds around the apple
In its palm

It takes me softly
As softly as the welcome warmth
Of feathered cloaks
Placed over me with care

It finds me quietly
As silent as the dying sun
That splashes colour high
To make a moon

I go with gladness
To board a ship of pure love
That welcomes me
And waits
To take me home.
