Is It a Dream --- Inspired by Watership Down

There’s a mist

upon the horizon.

Skybird gliding

into the heavens.

A golden glow

in the sky.

Floating into

the rivers of time.

Or is it a dream

Magic colors are falling

painting the night sky.

No one can say

just where it came from.

Or where it has been.

Oh is it a dream?

There’s a fire

Alight on the horizon,

Teardrops falling from my eyes.

Oh what does it mean?

Oh! is it a dream?

There’s a fog rising

in the meadow.

Shining brightly like a star

Golden mist falling down

from the sky.

Is it a dream?

How can a light that

burns so brightly

Suddenly fade so dark?

Is it the shadows  falling?

Over the hills and dale.

Or is it a dream

There’s a cool

 breeze in the treetops.

A silent sob in the air.

A sense of loss

in my eyes.

Where can I go

from here?

Only alone

in the darkness.

Or is it a dream

Only a dream?
