IT ONCE WAS CALLED FRIENDSHIP

Things went wrong
But only after it was going right
Friendship it was
But all that is in the past
Faith in harmony now waivers
Confidentiality is mistrusted
Doubts and suspicion abound
Confidence is gone
Frosty relations
And stilted familiarity greets the first meet
After the warmth that intimacy once held
Memories of fraternity are dying
Bile is growing
Sunny days are gone
Rain drenches the mind
Caustic thoughts erode healing
Reconciliation seems doomed

Damn Evrod! you write so real and with such a profound hold of the present tense...cold articulation is all over this one, what the hell can you do when a relationship comes apart, and disappears into the embrace of the cold, icy sun forever? Not really sure what the f,,, I just said, Evrol, but it sounds kinda cool, no? Anyway bro you so nailed this one, and this last paragraph resonates the sad reality of this most excellent poem...appreciate and enjoyed the write very much...'me ol pal from the islands'...later 'Philosopher King'
