Poem -

It’s a bad day

It’s a bad day— not a bad life

It may seem like living is strife,
Constant battle with your emotions
Just going through the motions
Of living, not truly there
Stuck in your head,
Wishing you were in bed
It may not seem like it
But it will pass

It’s a bad day— not a bad life

Some day in the future
Things will be much smoother
Your situation will get better,
Your story will have a new header

It’s a bad day— not a bad life

So don’t pick up that knife
Pick up that book that you love,
Or your baseball glove
Doodle in your notebook
Or find something new to cook.

Don’t do something you’ll regret
Over something you may not remember
In a week or longer,
These battles make you stronger
Don’t concede, you will succeed

It’s a bad day— not a bad life
