It’s Crying Time Again

It’s Crying Time Again

“It’s Crying Time Again”, our Angel, eight a.m. on Saturday morn;
The hour of the week we’re always saddest, so terribly forlorn!
For it was the time almost two years ago, when we took you to your vet;
Praying for a miracle, so ill prepared for what we’d get!
.
One look, and she said you were suffering, and we had to end your pain;
We made that impossible decision, as our teardrops fell like rain!
After fourteen and one-half years together, we had to say goodbye;
When they fitted your leg with a catheter, we thought we too would die!
.
We held you and caressed you, whispering “We love yous” in your ears;
Then, so quickly it was over, the culmination of our fears!
So now, every Saturday morning, it’s like the grossest Groundhog Day;
We relive those last horrid moments, and for your Soul we pray!
.
.
Saturday morning
It is crying time again
For our lost Soulmate
