It's That Time Again

It's That Time Again

It’s that time again,
The time where green turns to brown,
Brown turns to white,Β
And the remains of what was once living are crumpled in your frostbitten fingers.Β
The colours fade every step you take,
And your footprints trail behind you,Β
Following your every move,
As you vigilantly travel down the iced white path,
Careful not to fall,
Letting your footprints catch up to you,
For they come from a place you don’t ever want to see.
A place of bitter cold-darkness,
Though you’ve been there many times before,
Trapped within the darkness of the cold and minute space.
Will you ever escape?
For every time you fall,Β
Your footprints are there to catch you.Β
To drag you off your path,
And lead you back to the place you wish you've never been.
Reminding you,Β
It’s that time again.

Ja

Our footprints follow our every move.Β
But it's up to us to prove.
Each step was well intended.Β
And our efforts haven't ended.

Thank you kindly for sharing your thoughtsΒ
