It’s the truth that hurts us

The truth is dangerous. 
Think about it... 
lies only hurt when they are revealed as lies, 
therefore when you discover the truth.
And when you are content with the lie you thought to be the truth, you are confessing:
lies do not hurt, lies are comfort.
