Why does one write
About  something so sad ?
A subject not worthy
Of making us glad

I much prefer a cheerful note
Its that kind
That would definately 
Receive my vote

If one wishes to learn 
About tales of woe
Just switch on the news
& There you go

I purposely choose 
To give it a miss
Don’t want to hear
Horrid stories abyss

Its the same when I 
Tune into my music
It has to be cheerful
Sad lyrics are too sick

It isn’t good for us
Thriving on sadness
It increases our depression
Which is simply madness

So come on lets omit
Gloominess & strife
Lets be cheerful & jolly
Rid the grief from our life

Positivity all the way
It improves our well being
& Health they do say

If you follow my advice
You can’t go far wrong
Just switch on your radio
Listen to a happy song?
