JAIL

Sitting in my apartment one hot summer day

Made some angry phone calls

Because I thought I had something to say

Soon after I heard a knock on my door

Two policeman walked in I could not ignore

They asked my name and if I was insane

I said my name is Joe

They said turn around you are under arrest

Its time to go

I was scared but curious to find out

What jail life was all about

For the first couple of days all I did

Was sit in my green cement cell and pout

I was moved to General Population

I met a Preacher, An Embezzler

A Bank Robber, Men caught selling drugs

Even some legitimate Hard Core Thugs

They all told me not to be ashamed

Everyone cries in jail

Relax stay calm with luck

Someday someone will post your bail
