Jeremiad

Jeremiad

I cannot stand the bedlam of joy,

For I have met my waterloo.

Let me state my cause with a mercurial speed,

For I have to jeremiad my failure.

This spartan surrounding  beckons and

Calls me paradox.

I have been a quisling who has betrayed her child.

I could not achieve success.

For the delectable fruit of mine.

I do not want to vex you,

I do not want to irk you.

But I cannot pent up my feeling any longer.

       Bring longing and expectancy.

       Into my despondent drooping heart.

For I am only human and not infalliable.
