Jesus wept...

Jesus wept...

The devil slitheredΒ
On blood soaked concreteΒ
The people gatheredΒ
To witness Jesus weepΒ
Bloodshot eyes
Tears fall without graceΒ
SlaughteredΒ
Humanity
With unspeakable shame
We are but sinners and slavesΒ
Riddled with guilt
Empires they built
Upon stained lands
Flesh torn handsΒ
Pierced skin
Jesus wept for all
As evil still crawls
Body of Christ
Blood of Christ
Let's pray
And not fight...
