Jesus wept...

The devil slithered 
On blood soaked concrete 
The people gathered 
To witness Jesus weep 
Bloodshot eyes
Tears fall without grace 
Slaughtered 
Humanity
With unspeakable shame
We are but sinners and slaves 
Riddled with guilt
Empires they built
Upon stained lands
Flesh torn hands 
Pierced skin
Jesus wept for all
As evil still crawls
Body of Christ
Blood of Christ
Let's pray
And not fight...
