José THE FOOL

A kid who wanted to be Elvis
Stole his daddy's guitar
Other kids on the block, took their parents car
José always felt a little different
Eating lunch in the bathroom of his school
Always the new kid, his part in the play, always the fool

You can only be fired so many times
Before you feel like everyone's right
How many eviction notices does it take?
How many hits till a dreamin heart breaks?

José never claimed to be the good guy
Till one night he had his chance
Guitar strapped to his back, bell bottom Elvis pants
Down an alleyway to the spot he always played
Women screams out to be saved!
José never thought twice
Some say that's what cost him his life

You can only be fired so many times
Before you feel like everyone's right
How many eviction notices does it take?
How many hits till a dreamin heart breaks?
