the first
time
I met
you
I understood
that Words
never
needed to be
spoken  with
us
A few
years
older
both of
our innocence
were stripped
by pirrahs
that took
what  should
have
never been
taken
which
was trust

Yet in the
midst of
past dissapointments
 we both
found
each
other
recognizing
the spark
of hope
in each 
other's eyes

 20 years later
Our love
continues
and the
hope
lingers
to  be
held
on
