JUMBO THE ELEPHANT

He came to London from Paris in 1865
I am sure it was an adventure for him to survive 
Survive he did and he finished up in London zoo
Who you ask am I referring to ?

The answer to this is a elephant named Jumbo
Which means hello in Swahili if you didn't know  
Everybody knows of course knows the jumbo jet
It came from this elephant I'm willing to bet

The original Jumbo elephant gave rides galore 
The kids at the time were happy I'm sure 
Jumbo retired gracefully to the circus in later years
Which reduced the kids to floods of tears

In 1885 Jumbo died I am really sorry to say 
Crushed by a locomotive he got in the way
