Take hold of that dizzying feeling
And tuck it safely away.
Bring it out when you want to remember
All those young, love filled heady days.
Along with all the birthday wishes you made in secret
And the anniversaries over the years that have mounted.
The many stolen kisses and secret love making
So many
Too many to be counted!
Wrap them all up safely
Don`t tell a soul where they are.
Just keep that one box of thoughts a secret
They will keep you warm when the trees are bare.
Tuck in the music that lifted your soul
With the scent of the night you first kissed.
Include all the silly momento`s collected along the years
And all the love letters you read with eyes all a mist.
Add to the pile all the sweet nothings that he whispered in your ear
And all those heated passionate sighs.
Wrap them all up tightly with a big bow
And save them for the lonely nights that you cry!

As shadows scatter,
 I stare at the candle light...
My heart feels the pain
of longing you each night
You came in to my lyrics,
 brought a calm in my heart...
But now it just seems
 We are always so far apart
I neglect the times you reached
for me then pulled me ever so near...
I miss the times you used to whisper
 Love lyrics so softly in my ears
