Jungle Jamba

Jungle Jamba

The adventure starts as I leap from the copter,
Skydiving to the Earth at blazing speed.
Like a human bullet being shot through space,
I pierced the atmosphere.
When I got close enough to land, I pulled my cord and hovered,
I landed near the jungle's entrance, it's amazing what I'd discovered!

The land was epic, and vivid with color, bursting all around,
Sounds of various exotic birds echoed into my soul.

The peace that was within was obvious to me.
The jungle seemed so inviting.
So I geared up and ran full throttle, into who know's where.
I almost wanted to get lost, and I did.

Now mid-jungle, I felt as though I was free from everything,
The air whisked into my nostrils the perfect blend of plants, bark, and freshwater.
There was no drama here.
I took my shoes off and felt the slightly dew-covered grass, as a light rain drizzled over me.
Giant leaves above my head held rolling raindrops,
That tasted like juice from God's Cup.

I then began to see life before me,
A deer was in the distance eating grass, and when he saw me, he continued eating.
Shows that they don't expect trouble here.
Where are the predators? I asked myself.
But I wasn't complaining.

I then saw a large lizard walking on a flower,
Although the plant was yellow, green, and white,
The lizard matched it's colors perfectly.
Such diversity shone a light inside of me.

I ventured off for a while and my nose started working,
Sensing a pleasing aroma of cooking food.
I followed my nose until it lead me to a small village.
There were about ten huts made of straw and bamboo,
With smoke coming from the inside.

I approached with caution, and curiosity,
Praying that I wasn't approaching deranged villagers.
As soon as I got in front of a hut, I heard some rustling of leaves,
I looked back into the jungle and saw nothing, but when I turned around...
BOOOOM!!! I was knocked out with a thick stick.

............... ................ ............... ............ ....................... ....................

Shaking my head in confusion, I woke up to African Folklore music,
People were dancing all around, in regular clothes like they were visiting!
I leaned forward and then looked over, there was a woman there.
I asked; "Why did someone clock me with the thick stick?"
She smiled and said; "There was a Dinosaur-Beetle on your forehead."

That explained everything.

So I stood up and left the hut, and when I got outside, there were animals dancing too!
Deer were in couples, crossing their heels in a rhythmic motion!
Monkeys were giving high fives and doing ballroom!
Birds were flying in all types of creative lines!

Well, birds always do that, but,

These birds were different!
I saw animals that would seem in the wrong habitat!
Zebras holding hooves and sliding side to side!
And Kangaroos leaping over each other!

I was overall confused and amazed.
It was really happening!

"Welcome to Jungle Jamba!"
A seemingly drunk person said to me.
The woman then grabbed my hand, pulled me into the crowd,
And we danced the Jungle Jamba all night long.

Then suddenly, the woman pulled me closer, and passionately kissed me.
I was so happy this wasn't a dream!

Unfortunately, it was a dream.

And I tried to go back into the dream and failed.

The Jungle Jamba felt real,
I even woke up hugging my pillow,
And I still remember the Jamba beat that we danced to....
