Poem -

Just a Tree

You seem to forget what people are made of.

Most are made of glass.

If you hit them hard enough, they might shatter.

Others are like a brick wall.

They are rarely bothered.

But if you remove one brick,

They might fall apart.

Being able to be put back together and all.

I am different,

And you can’t seem to remember that.

Do the wrong thing,

I might burn might burn myself down.

I have marks that show what I’ve gone through,

There are only some that are visible.

The others run too deep.

I am more like a tree.

Easily cut down,

But not,

Maybe that’s how I’ll be set free.
