Just another farmyard 🐂

Twas just another farmyard on a cold, winter’s night as those sparkling stars were twinkling bright~
Megan and Mildred in the milking parlour “Mooed” to each other as their udders were squeezed, and Billy the barnyard Bull got himself so frustrated wanting to woo them as he whooped and he wheezed...
But nothing much was a’stirring in the Chicken pen, just a clucking and a cackling every now and then~
Yet Roderick the ruddy, red Rooster “Cock-a-doodle-doodled” on each hour and every early morning, just as Duncan the Donkey was “Eeyoring” and a’ yawning...
Percy Pig grunted and fed from the turnip trough whilst his parter’s piglets truffled and coughed~
Of course Tobias the Farmer’s pride and joy tup chased all the shaggy sheep down the meadow and up...
And the rain ran through the farmyard in a rancid, rotten mud as Mildred and Megan stood oblliviously chewing their cud~
Ah the joys of living on a farm, full of natural smells and Mother nature’s charm...

Jill you took me right back to summer days at my uncles. He had a little farm. In the mornings my job was to fetch the eggs in. Thank you for prompting this memory through your beautiful ink ❤️
