JUST ANOTHER HOMELESS SLEEPER

Statistics say that she's a homeless sleeper
Maybe she is more than that if they look deeper
No home for her is what statistics are seeing
She is more than that she is a human being

Do the statistics see she's had no food tonight?
Do the statistics see she sleeps under a shop light?
Just another number for the statisticians to write
Just another person facing the homeless plight

She came under other statistics many years ago
Things were so different for her and I should know
For she was my wife and a mother of three
Are you looking to blame someone don't blame me

Drugs and alcohol messed with this ladies head
A homeless sleeper the statistics have said
Numbers don't lie the statisticians will say
After all that's how they receive their pay
